Rod began his journey in the construction industry alongside his father in the early 90s at PM Gordon. Taking the helm, he transformed PMG Contractors from a small team into its current form. Under PMG’s umbrella, companies like Kiwi Pumps & Macrod Contractors were born, contributing significantly to Auckland’s iconic streetscapes. Subsequently, Rod was entrusted with AJ Russell’s, which led to the acquisition of Bill Grace Bricklayers. This culminated in the merger of AJ Russell’s, PMG Contractors, and associated entities into Russell Gordon Contracting. Over the past 14 years, the RGC operation and capability has grown considerably. Delivering key masonry and concrete elements in projects like Westfield New Market, Sylvia Park, Fergusson Wharf, and the Eastern Busway.  Rod’s commitment to fostering talent within RGC has been instrumental in its success, with many employees ascending the ranks due to his mentorship and support. With a family-oriented ethos, RGC operates as a cohesive unit, embodying strong values and a sense of community akin to a large family.
